Getting Started

Three steps and you're playing music:

Install JuicyPlayer on your PC. Get it from the Microsoft Store (auto-updates included), or download the installer for Windows 10/11 directly — x64 or ARM64 — and run it.
Install Juicy Remoter on your Android phone. Scan the QR code on the download section, or download the APK directly (requires Android 7.0 or newer).
Connect and play. Make sure your PC and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network, then open Juicy Remoter — it discovers the player on your network automatically. No IP addresses, no account.

Tip: on first launch, Windows may ask for permission to let Juicy Player communicate on the network. Choose Allow on private networks so your phone can find it.

Phone Remote (Juicy Remoter)

Juicy Remoter turns your phone into a wireless control surface for the desktop player:

Play, pause, and skip tracks; seek through the progress bar.
Adjust volume for the system and the player in real time.
Browse the full playlist, search songs, and see album art and track info.

The connection is pure local network (LAN) peer-to-peer. Your phone talks directly to your PC — nothing is sent to the internet, and no login is ever required.

Using the Player

Playback controls

Play, pause, and skip from inside the app, from the Windows lock screen, or from the media controls in your notification center.

Volume & equalizer

Adjust system and player volume independently, and switch between equalizer presets to match your headphones or speakers.

Supported formats

Juicy Player plays all common audio formats: MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG, AAC, M4A, OPUS, AIFF, APE. Lossless formats (FLAC / APE / WAV) play bit-perfect — no transcoding, no quality loss.

Troubleshooting

My phone can't connect to the PC

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest and public Wi-Fi networks often isolate devices from each other.
Check that Juicy Player is running on the PC.
Allow Juicy Player through the Windows Firewall for private networks (Windows usually prompts on first launch — if you missed it, allow it manually in Windows Security → Firewall).
If your router has AP isolation enabled, devices can't see each other — disable it in the router settings.

A song won't play

Check the file extension against the supported formats above. If a file still fails, it may use an unusual codec variant — feel free to report it via the contact below.

Where can I download older versions?

Every release is archived on GitHub Releases, with changelogs for each version.

Is Juicy Player free? Does it need an account?

It's completely free — no ads, no in-app purchases, no account, and no tracking. Your listening history stays on your own PC.

When is the macOS version coming?

It's in development. Watch or star the GitHub repository to be notified when it ships.
